Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs:
Can you help with individual tree assessments for homeowners?
Yes, while our focus is on larger sites, we regularly assist homeowners with consultations for single trees or small groups of trees.
Do you provide services for larger properties like HOAs?
Absolutely. We offer comprehensive tree and landscape evaluations for HOAs and other large properties, providing both one-time and ongoing arboricultural expertise.
How can you help with multiple trees?
We assist with developing and implementing Tree Management Plans, including planting, pruning, removal, and healthcare programs. We can act as Project Managers or Owner's Representatives, offering flexible pricing options.
When is the best time of year to do tree work?
While tree work can be done year-round, the dormant season (winter) often offers better pricing and allows for more proactive care, and/or planning for the season ahead. Some species benefit from dormant season pruning to minimize disease spread. Most tree work ends up happening during the growing season, and that is usually fine. However, please note that the growing season is our busiest time of year and scheduling can be delayed at times.
Can you assess tree health year round?
Yes, we can evaluate trees anytime of the year, but assessments during the growing season are preferred for the best results. Regular inspections are recommended for proactive care, allowing us to gain a better understanding of the trees and identify their needs.
What should I do about Emerald Ash Borer (EAB)?
EAB is a lethal pest affecting all Ash trees. We offer EAB management plans, including trunk injection treatments (required every 2-3 years) and removal/replacement strategies. We can help you develop a proactive EAB Management Plan for your community, and implement/manage the plan if desired.
What does your tree inventory and mapping service include?
We provide customized tree inventories with unique tree numbers, GPS/GIS locations, species identification, condition assessments, trunk size measurements, and valuations when needed.
When are tree appraisals necessary?
Tree appraisals are required for most tree removals, especially those involving new developments, roadway widening, or trees in city rights-of-way. They're also needed for assessing damage caused by vehicles, construction, or natural events.
What are tree risk assessments?
Our tree risk assessments proactively identify and mitigate potential tree hazards. We can evaluate failed trees, survey for other potential failures/risks, and recommend treatments to prevent future damage or injury. There are different levels of tree hazard assessments depending on your needs and situation
